Purpose of the job
The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.

Principal Duties
Assist Managers in identifying/defining detailed personnel needs for their respective scopes
Organize and manage hiring, onboarding, and training for staff
Ensure with the Financial team, the checking, and transmission of monthly variable parameters for payroll (extraction from timesheet for NGE Contracting’s employees - Expatriates)
Manage benefits policies and ensure our internal benefits packages are competitive and attractive
Act as the first point of contact for all HR inquiries and offer tailored
Liaise with NGE’s headquarters HR team to ensure consistency in HR policies
This position will report directly to the Canadian Managing Director
General
Participate actively in the recruitment and onboarding process
Keep policies updated in accordance with Canadian rules
Manage all contractual documents (Employment Contract, etc.)
Manage the company’s internal newsletters and staff notices
Manage all office keys, fobs, and accesses (replacements, delivery, storing)
Organize Staff events (annual parties, team building, holiday party)
Manages NGE’s online database and document management tool
Compiles, produces, and supports the tendering teams in the management of administrative documents for prequalifications and tenders.
Manage competencies and development plan
Manage, develop and implement the training plan
Coordinate and conduct performance reviews and appraisal processes
Ensure work is performed in compliance with Health and Safety regulations
Conduct regular checks of our HR systems and implement improvements

Experience working in an HR generalist role
Demonstrate practical knowledge and application of HR

Knowledge of budgetary control
Ability to create project plans and manage projects
Experience in handling Employees Relations
Experience in the construction or rail sector (Desirable)
Dynamic and team spirit
Ability to prioritize and action tasks quickly when necessary
Ability to work autonomously and in a proactive fashion
Capacity to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of stakeholder
Excellent Communication verbal and written in English and French
