The first international public-private partnership for NGE. This huge project will connect Paso de los Torros to the capital city Montevideo. NGE will also insure maintenance of the tracks. This strategic railway will be 273 km long and will allow faster and easier access to Montevideo for the biggest paper mill of the country owned by Finnish papermaker UTM.

Tracks construction will begin shortly in 2020 after older tracks are removed and ground is cleaned.
