NGE – IN THE TOP 5 FRENCH GROUP IN THE CONSTRUCTION SECTOR – WILL LEAD ALL RAIL INFRASTRUCTURE WORKS FOR THE FUTURE PARIS METRO LINE 16

Already selected for lot 1 of line 16 on rail infrastructures work, NGE, via its subsidiary TSO (leader), in a consortium with TSO Caténaires and Eiffage Rail, has been awarded by the Société du Grand Paris the lot 2-3. It is the main rail infrastructure contract on this line.
It includes track, catenary, and linear equipment work. NGE will thus lead all the rail infrastructure work on this major line of the Grand Paris Express project, which will serve the Seine-Saint-Denis region and benefit its 800,00 inhabitants.

The scope of work includes the supply and laying of the track, rigid catenary, and linear equipment (footbridges, dry columns, and cable trays) over the 16.5 km that will connect the Aulnay and Noisy-Champs stations. The project will begin in the summer of 2023 and should be completed in the first half of 2024.

Already working on the lot 1 of the line 16, TSO will build on the experience accumulated to successfully complete the work on the entire line. TSO will also be able to rely on its experience accumulated on the EOLE project (extension of a regional line between the Saint-Lazare station in Paris and the Nanterre station in the West of Paris, on a similar scope of work), on which 200 employees are currently working.

On line 16, NGE is also participating to the civil engineering work on lot 2 thanks to its multi-expertise model. Two tunnel boring machines named “Mireille” and “Houda” are currently at work.

The same consortium has also been selected to perform identical work on the first 2.4km of line 17 North, between the Le Bourget Aéroport and Le Bourget RER stations. This will facilitate interfaces management at the connection with line 16. This project will begin in September 2022 and should be completed in the first half of 2023.
